Five Indian-origin men have been charged in Canada after police recovered a stolen trailer carrying cannabis products worth more than $2 million in Mississauga.
The seizure was made on April 15 when York Regional Police officers from the Auto Cargo Theft Unit were patrolling the area around McLaughlin Road and Highway 401. They located a trailer that had been reported stolen from the Niagara Region and was believed to be carrying a large consignment of cannabis products meant for delivery to licensed dispensaries.
