A popular fast food outlet in Belfast is closed until later this week for "essential maintenance."

The sign posted to the door of the Victoria Square store reads: "To complete essential maintenance, this store will be closed from Monday 9th January and will re-open Thursday 12th January.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

When Five Guys first opened in Victoria Square on December 7, 2015, it was the American fast food outlet's first restaurant in Ireland.

A second outlet opened on Boucher Crescent in 2018, and a new store is anticipated to open at the Odyssey complex this year.
