Five satellites built in Glasgow have been launched into orbit aboard a Space X Falcon 9 rocket from US soil.
The satellites were made by Spire Global, a leading global provider of space-based data, analytics and space services, at their nanosatellite manufacturing and test facility in Skypark in the Finnieston area of the city.
The launch, which took place at Cape Canaveral Space Station in Florida, is the third successful launch this year by the company, and helps to further cement Glasgow's status as Europe's number one satellite manufacturing hub.
