Fishman packs big tone and features into its smallest Loudbox acoustic amp yet – the Loudbox Micro

Fishman LoudBox amp.

One of the greatest things about an acoustic guitar is its portability. But sometimes even the most robust acoustic requires a little electricity to be heard onstage, outdoors or in unusual environments, or for EQ’ing to achieve the desired sound. If you’re looking to amplify your acoustic-electric without having to huff around heavy amps, Fishman has the Loudbox Mini, a 60-watt combo amp weighing in at just over 21 pounds that ranks as the most compact entry in the company’s popular Loudbox range.

Until now, that is. Fishman has now taken the Mini to micro levels with the new Fishman Micro, which offers up legendary Loudbox tone – 40 watts clean – in a lunchbox-sized combo weighing in at just over nine pounds.

And it achieves all this without sacrificing great sound or construction. The Loudbox Micro’s sealed cabinet design is paired with a bi-amplified driver configuration for rich, full tone, and features a dedicated microphone channel plus an instrument channel with Fishman’s preamp and tone control design.

You also get high-quality digital reverb and chorus on the instrument channel and reverb on the microphone channel, as well as an aux input, a balanced XLR D.I. output and a headphone jack.

The result is all the clean, dynamic tone, full range and quality features of bigger and more expensive Loudbox models, in an easy-to-use two-channel amp that’s light on your muscles – and your wallet.
