Fisherman missing off Qld north coast

One fisherman is missing and another was rescued after their boat capsized off Townsville. (AAP)

A search and rescue effort is underway off Queensland's north coast for a fisherman missing from a capsized tinny.

The alarm was raised at about 6.30am Saturday when a commercial fishing vessel found a 45-year-old man signalling for help in the water off the coast of Townsville.
