Homes Under the Hammer developer adds £100k to value of Notts house not decorated since 1950s

A 'tired' Nottingham house that looked like it hadn't been touched since the 1950s was given a huge makeover in today's episode of Homes Under the Hammer. It was bought by Glen, who despite having never renovated a property before managed to add almost £100,000 to its value.

The two-bedroom semi-detached in Sherwood was not in a good state when presenter Martel Maxwell first arrived. The front of the house looked a "wee bit tired", but there was an attractive magnolia tree that Maxwell said she would keep. Inside, the swirly carpets and yellow, textured walls really dated the place.

The kitchen was a decent size but needed updating, as did the downstairs loo. Upstairs, was more old fashioned decor. There were two good sized bedrooms and one much smaller room.
