Police discovered the bodies of seven people at the home of a convicted rapist in Oklahoma as a sleepover turned to tragedy this week.
Grieving mother Janette Mayo posted on Facebook and said that, along with two missing teenage girls, her daughter and three grandchildren were found. The bodies of mum Holly Guess and her children Rylee Elizabeth Allen, Michael James Mayo and Tiffany Dore Guess were found at the home of convicted sex offender Jesse McFadden.
As reported by the Mirror, they were discovered alongside the bodies of 14-year-old Ivy Webster and 16-year-old Brittany Brewer. Jesse McFadden's body was also found by authorities at the property. He was set to appear in court on the same day that the grim scene was discovered.
McFadden was set to stand trial on charges of soliciting sexual conduct with a minor and possession of child sex abuse images on Monday. He appears on the state’s sex offender registry as Oklahoma Department of Corrections prison records show he was convicted of first-degree rape in 2003 and released in October 2020.
Janette Mayo, 59, of Westville, Oklahoma, said the sheriff's office notified her that the other four people found dead were her daughter, Holly Guess, 35, and her grandchildren, Rylee, 17, Michael, 15, and Tiffany, 13.
She said that her daughter Holly had married Jesse McFadden but that she had been "fooled by his charm".
She added: "My daughter loved her children. I hurt just like the other families.
"My grandchildren and my daughter. I have a hole in my heart.
"I loved Ivy she was a sweet girl, I really didn’t know Brittany but she must have been a sweet girl for my Tiffany to care for her.
"My prayers are there for both of the other families. I just ask that people remember my family as well, and that they had names too."
After disappearing while in his company, Ivy and Brittany were named in an Amber Alert on Monday morning. The two girls had plans to go swimming at a creek with McFadden’s teenage daughter.
Brittany's father, Nathan Brewer, said she had stayed with the McFadden family before for a sleepover, but there hadn't been any problems.
The devastated dad told KOTV that she was due to represent the town of Henryetta in a beauty pageant.
He said: "And now she ain't gonna make it because she's dead. She's gone."
Both teens had been missing since Sunday night. Their bodies were found just hours after a missing person's alert was issued.
Mr Brewer added: "At this point, all I can say is for me and the Webster family, I know I don't have the money to bury my daughter, and I know the Webster family doesn't have the money to bury their daughter either."
Before he was also found dead, McFadden was scheduled to go on trial on Monday on charges of soliciting child sex abuse images.
He was accused of sending sexually explicit images to an underage girl on a contraband phone when he was inside.
A warrant for his arrest had been issued by Muskogee County Police when he didn't show up.
Okmulgee County Sheriff Eddy Rice confirmed the death and asked for the community to come together in an emotional appeal.
He said: "It's a tragic day in Okmulgee County again, and we just ask that you pray for the families."
Henryetta Public Schools has released a statement saying that it is “grieving over the tragedy of the loss of several of our students”.
“Our hearts are hurting, and we have considered what would be best for our students in the coming days,” the school system said.
Classes will still take place but mental health services are available to students.
“We understand if you feel it is more appropriate to keep your student at home. Please continue to keep these families in your thoughts and prayers.“
