This is the first picture of a young Scots schoolboy who tragically died after being hit by a train at a station in West Lothian.
Devin Gordon, 13, has been named locally as the youngster involved in the horror incident at Bathgate train station around 2.30pm on Wednesday January 19.
Emergency services raced to the scene but sadly the teen could not be saved and was pronounced dead.
British Transport Police confirmed the incident is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
They said: "British Transport Police were called to Bathgate station at 2.34pm today (19 January) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, and sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the procurator fiscal."
Hearts fan Devin was a keen footballer who played for local team Bathgate Juniors.
In the aftermath of his death, the club posted a tribute to the youngster, with an image of Devin at Tynecastle in Edinburgh also shared on social media.
His friends hoping to get a 13-minute applause for Hearts fan Devin around the stadium when the side face Celtic next Wednesday.
