Gardaí are set to launch separate murder investigations after two bodies were discovered in Co Meath.
The body of 47-year-old Polish national Zbigniew Czech was found on a stairwell of a property in Navan – while 30km away in Kilbride, the body of another man was discovered wrapped in a carpet in a field.
Gardai suspect both men were murdered but that the incidents are not connected in any way.

In the case of Mr Czech, officers believe he was stabbed to death by a woman known to him, following a row.
It is understood he suffered several stab injuries and was found on a stairwell at a property on Academy Street in Navan at around 11pm on Saturday.
A woman in her 30s was arrested at the scene and was last night being detained at Kells Garda station under Section four of the Criminal Justice
Act.
Sources say Mr Czech was known to gardai and had also in the past displayed injuries in social media pictures from an apparent assault.
They are understood to be probing the possibility he was stabbed by a woman known to him following a dispute at the house.
Meanwhile, a shocked local discovered the body of a man wrapped inside a carpet in a field in the Kilbride area.
The man, who as of last night had not yet been formally identified, may have lain dead for a number of days, officers fear.
It is understood he had serious injuries and that gardai believe he was the victim of a violent assault with a weapon.
Gardai also suspect he may have been killed in a separate location before his body was dumped in the field. The body was discovered near trees in a farmland area roughly 10km from Ashbourne on Saturday.
It is understood gardai are probing whether the deceased is a man who was known to be missing from the Dublin area for the last number of days.
The investigation is being led by detectives at Ashbourne Garda station, who will await the results of a post-mortem to determine exactly how the man died – but a murder investigation is likely to be launched.
In an update yesterday afternoon, gardai said the scene was being examined by members of the Garda Technical Bureau.
A Garda spokesperson added: “The body of the deceased, who has yet to be formally identified, has been removed to the Mortuary in Whitehall, Dublin, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted by Dr Margot Bolster, Office of the State Pathologist, later today.”
Gardai have also asked for anyone who travelled along Belgree Lane, Kilbride, on Friday or Saturday to come forward.
Motorists with dashcam footage from this location are urged to come forward and make it available to gardai.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Incident Room at Ashbourne Garda Station on 01 8010600 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
And gardai investigating the death in Navan of Mr Czech have also asked anyone with information to contact the Confidential Line or the local incident room on 046 9036100.
