A man who was killed following an accident at a factory in an Angus town on Monday has been named locally as Liam Gallon.
Liam died after sustaining fatal injuries in a building owned by RyBay Corrosions Services in Brechin on the afternoon of March 14.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the 32-year-old could not be saved and he died at the scene.
Health and safety watchdogs have already opened a probe into the circumstances of the fatal incident.
Police also remained on the scene today as they carried out further inquiries.
Officers have not formally confirmed his identity but tributes have been paid online to the young father, who lived in Montrose.
One friend said: "Can’t believe it Liam RIP you was an amazing person."
Another added: "A beautiful boy who turned out a fine young man so so so sad...my thoughts are with his family at this sad time."
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) says it is aware of the incident.
A spokesperson said: "We have been made aware of the fatality and are currently working with Police Scotland and making inquiries into the circumstances of the incident."
Police Scotland said: "Around 3pm on Monday March 14 police were called to an industrial premises on East Mill Road, Brechin, following reports that a 32-year-old man had been injured within.
"Emergency services attended, however, the man died at the scene.
"His family is aware. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
RyBay Corrosions Services has not made any comment following the fatal incident at the Brechin factory.
The company deleted its Facebook page in the hours after it occurred.
