Tributes have poured in for a father who tragically lost his life after crashing his bike at Knockhill Racing Circuit.
Chris Adam, from Erskine, Renfrewshire has been named locally after dying in heartbreaking circumstances at Scotland’s national motorsport centre in Dunfermline, Fife.
The 38-year-old dad of one suffered critical injuries during a track day on Friday May 19 and was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy. He unfortunately died two days later on Sunday 21, the Daily Record reports.

Chris owned the dealership CA Motorcycles and the bike enthusiast has been called a ‘gentleman’ and a ‘gem’ by those that knew him in the motoring world.
Chris' brother Blair Adam said: "It’s with the heaviest of hearts I’m writing this as my brother, Chris Adam has sadly passed away today after succumbing to his injuries sustained on Friday during his track day at Knockhill. Rest easy brother."
A friend Brian Paterson said: "Chris Adam, you sure are a gentleman and will be sorely missed by all. You will absolutely be missed by the whole biking community buddy.
"It didn't take me long to realise how well respected Chris was in the biking community, literally everybody knew him, he had a real love and lust for life and having fun."
Mobile Motorcycle Services said: "Something I never thought I would be writing. The worst accident happened to a great friend and amazing guy. With a very heavy heart Chris Adam of CA Motorcycles passed away today .
"Our thoughts and prayers are with his family."
Carronvalley Motorcycle Club said: " It's is with great sadness at the loss of one of our members Chris Adam who succumbed to his injuries after a accident at Knockhill over the weekend. RIP Chris ride free ."
Another biker Barry Walker posted: "This weekend we lost a gem. Rip Chris. Thoughts to your family."
While Brian McConnell said: "Met him and his missus and wee boy when he was starting out . A lovely guy . So sad."
Many have been left shocked by the incident, Mark O'Connor said: "Still can't get my head round this. Sending love to all your family. Until we meet again Chris Adam."
Inspector James Henry of Fife Road Policing said: "On Friday, 19 May, 2023, officers were made aware of a crash on track at Knockhill racing circuit, Dunfermline, involving a motorbike.
"The incident happened around 12.10pm and a 38-year-old man was taken by ambulance to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy where he died on Sunday, 21 May, 2023.
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man at this difficult time. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
