Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has confirmed that she has tested positive for Covid-19.
Ms Sturgeon confirmed the news in a tweet on Friday evening, May 20.
It is the first time she has caught the virus since the pandemic began.
Although the virus has known to have been deadly in some cases, the First Minister said she is currently 'experiencing mild symptoms', but will work from home until she returns a negative test.

In a tweet, she said: "Unfortunately I've tested positive for Covid this evening after experiencing mild symptoms. In line with Scottish Government guidance, I'll work from home over the next few days, and hopefully be back out and about later next week."
Other members of the SNP party were quick to send Ms Sturgeon positive messages on the social media platform.
Karen Adam MSP said: "Hope it passes quickly and is as mild as can be."
Ian Blackford MP added: "Get well soon Nicola."
Earlier on Friday, the First Minister had met with Sinn Fein vice president Michelle O'Neill at her official Bute House residence in Edinburgh.
The meeting came just two weeks after Sinn Fein finished as the largest party in the Northern Irish election, with the two leaders reportedly discussing Brexit and the ongoing row over the Northern Ireland Protocol.
