After being taken with the No. 21 overall selection, the newest member of the Chargers, wide receiver Quentin Johnston arrived in Costa Mesa, CA, at the team’s headquarters on Friday.
Johnston spoke with the media and received his jersey, which will be the No. 1, the number we wore in college at TCU.
“I feel like that number comes with a lot. A lot is expected of you if you have that 1. You go on the field and look at a guy with number one, and you go, ‘he must be doing something.’
Johnston added that he was that number the second half of his high school career, and going into college, he donned the number after former TCU and current Vikings WR Jalen Reagor wore it.
