Buddies are being offered a first look at Il Pescatore – the new restaurant opening at The Millhouse development in Paisley.
The seafood restaurant will occupy the ground floor of the Bridge Street apartment block later this year.
Under construction now, the space will house the fine-dining restaurant, together with facilities to offer takeaways and space for a new café, as well as outdoor seating space by the river.
Set over six storeys, the Millhouse apartments are a collection of two and three-bedroom homes, some with balconies and views to the town’s 12th century Abbey.
It was developed by company Nixon Blue which has invested £6 million in transforming the riverside plot.
The site was bought in 2018 and was previously disused for more than a decade before Nixon Blue’s managing directors Richard McFadzean and Colin McIntyre stepped in to purchase and develop the site.
They opened the development’s new show home in the spring.
Mr McFadzean said: “We set out to transform the riverside location with the ambition that our residents would be able to live by the water while creating a community hub at The Millhouse.
“Rejuvenation of our corner site is nearing completion and we are delighted to secure a buyer for our prime location.
“The new restaurant will be an asset to our development and to the town as we continue our plans to breathe new life into this riverside location.
“We want to invest in the town, its local amenities, and create a vibrant residential area for those who live, eat and work in Paisley.”
Final plans are still under wraps before the launch of Il Pescatore but interior design firm Arka has shared some inspirational visuals behind the project.
The Millhouse is a development which is under construction with Scottish-based company NIXON. It is leading the construction, architecture and project management of the build.
