First look inside new Love Island villa with more 'secluded' areas for couples to bond

A new Love Island villa has been unveiled in Mallorca ahead of the launch of the show's eighth series next week. Recent series of the popular dating show have been filmed at a property near Sant Llorenc des Cardassar, in the east of the Spanish island. When that location became unavailable for the 2022 series, show bosses were made to look for a new location. The new villa is situated in the east of the island and the Islanders are no doubt, excited to get in.

Ahead of the new series, keep reading for a look at the Islanders' new home. Click here to find out more about some of the lovebirds taking part this year.

The entrance to the villa (ITV)

Upon entering the new villa, Islanders will be greeted by a giant heart which sits outside the front of the building. Expect to see Islanders not only enter through the chrome heart, but also exit.

The bedrooms (ITV)

The bedroom is where the action happens. Not too different to last year and just as colourful as it ever has been, it is the room that both makes and breaks couples.

The garden (ITV)

Ah, the area that makes us all jealous. As viewers switch on to watch Islanders basking in the sunshine, they will almost definitely be wishing that they were there in their place - Who wouldn't love a Mallorca holiday?

An outside seating area for the Islanders (ITV)

The garden features a variety of seating areas with yellow, blue and pink accents. Speaking about the decision to include more secluded outside areas, Love Island executive producer Mike Spencer said: “It’s the first time, I think, that we’ve designed it more editorially. We know how many chat areas we need, we know you want those places you can sneak off to.”

The Love Island Beach Hut (ITV)

'He said...", "She said"... This is where the Islanders talk about their relationships with other Islanders. There will definitely be tears shed in this room.

The fire pit (ITV)

The fire pit has long been a place that has scared Islanders and this year will be exactly the same. From recouplings to Island exits, there will certainly be drama that takes place here.

Laura Whitmore will return to present the hit ITV2 series, a role she has held since 2020. Whitmore’s husband, comedian and presenter Ian Stirling, will again provide a comedic voiceover.

The series eight islanders were revealed on social media on Monday and include former England striker Michael Owen’s daughter Gemma and model and dancer Tasha Ghouri, who has a cochlear implant and is the show’s first deaf contestant. There will also be two Welsh Islanders - Liam and Paige.

Love Island launches on ITV2 on Monday, June 6 at 9pm.
