Cillian Murphy was filmed riding a horse through Birmingham on Monday, 21 October as filming got underway for the new Peaky Blinders film.
The West Midlands city's canal region was shut down and turned into a gritty wartime set as the Irish actor, 48, reprised his role as gangster Tommy Shelby.
Murphy was dressed in a mud-stained jacket and Shelby's trademark flat cap, with blood streaming down his face.
Other cast members joining Murphy in the new Netflix movie, made in association with BBC Film, will be actors such as Rebecca Ferguson, Stephen Graham, and Sophie Rundle — who appears in the television series alongside Murphy.
