The ECHO has taken a look inside a new Merseyside restaurant inspired by New York.
The Good Hood is led by Richard Fergie, who moved to Merseyside from Stirling after meeting his partner Ellie online in 2020. He launched the West Kirby restaurant in 2021, serving American inspired cuisine such as burgers, nachos and fried chicken.
The Good Hood New Brighton opened its doors earlier this week in the former Habibi on Victoria Road.

Richard said the new venue is "an evolution" of the venue's West Kirby site, which was inspired by 'New York vibes'.
The edgy interior is full of vibrant graffiti and industrial style furniture and lighting. There's also a courtyard for al fresco dining, full of bench seats in bold colours.
He added: "You find your identity and you grow into yourself, a bit like a teenager. We're really focused on the graffiti and metal; a real urban vibe and something that will fit in really well with the murals on the street. We're really happy."
Richard is also pleased with the location: "New Brighton is amazing. I loved West Kirby when I first went down there, it was so calm - but New Brighton is alive.
"We're looking forward to being a nice neighbour to the pubs. Not in a competitive way; pubs and bars and restaurants opening next to each other creates a great hub. Victoria Road is such an amazing place."
Richard said he "can't wait" for the upcoming bank holiday weekend for King Charles III's coronation, but he's also nervous. He added: "The first week is terrible for me personally. I'm happy inside, but I just want to get everything right and perfect."
The Good Hood is also gearing up for a busy summer at the West Kirby restaurant.
Richard said: "West Kirby is going great, it's been the perfect location. We've just got all the back re-done so we're set for a busy summer. I couldn't be happier."
