It's the moment all Neighbours fans have been waiting for, even if it is slightly bittersweet. Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan have been snapped together on the Neighbours set as they film scenes for the finale of the long-running Australian soap.
The duo famously played Scott and Charlene Robinson in the popular programme in the 80s, and became two of the most famous faces to go on to achieve huge stardom following their turn. Reprising their iconic roles for the last shows before the soap comes off the air for good, after 37 years, it will feel like hardly any time has passed at all for fans.
Jason and Kylie, both 54, moved into Ramsay Street in 1986. The stars returned to the fictional neighbourhood to film their much-anticipated appearance earlier this year and now they've shared a behind-the-scenes look at what they got up to.

In the slew of super cute pics which popstar Kylie shared on her Instagram page, she'll be delighting followers by donning mechanic Charlene's legendary dungaree overalls and sporting her much-loved perm.
An in another picture, she can be seen sitting on the bonnet of a car as Jason hugs her. Kylie gave a nod to her and Jason's 1989 hit chart-topper Especially For You with the pics, captioning them: "Now we’re back together."
Jason added: “So good to be back with this absolute legend @kylieminogue. Scott and Charlene final scenes.” Images released by Channel 5 also show the pair standing on the balcony of 24 Ramsay Street where they first met when Scott mistook Charlene for a robber as she broke in to her mum’s house.
In another, a sales board can be seen in the background, suggesting the couple could have purchased one of the houses on the street. Neighbours boss Jason Herbison recently denied some rumoured spoilers around Kylie and Jason’s return.
Pop culture newsletter PopBitch previously claimed to have seen a leaked script from the finale, revealing the last scene would see Charlene and Scott pulling up onto Ramsay Street, before uttering the last line of the show: “We’re home.”
However, Jason told The Herald Sun: “What I’ve read is not what happens which is great. It hasn’t come out yet.”
He continued: “Seeing Kylie back as Charlene was quite a moment. Very special and I think for them too it was a real full circle for them.”
Kylie originally appeared on Neighbours from 1986 to 1988, with Jason leaving the show the year after.
The pair make their on screen comeback on July 29, when a double episode will air on Channel 5 at 9pm after a penultimate episode at the usual slots of 1.45pm and 6pm.
Speaking about her return to Seth Myers, Kylie said: “I was only in the show for two and a half years, but it's when the show exploded. England just went crazy about it, so it’s been with me ever since.”
Neighbours has been the training ground for some of the world's biggest stars, including Margot Robbie, Delta Goodrum, Russell Crowe and Liam Hemsworth.
