Happy Valley have given a first look at the fifth episode of the BBC drama.
At the end of the fourth episode, there was a huge cliff-hanger as Tommy Lee Royce, played by James Norton, managed to escape from custody during his sentencing. A fight in the courtroom halls allowed him to escape by distracting security staff. He shouted "I'm police" and amongst the confusion, he ran out of the courtroom before the doors were locked behind him.
He was then seen heading into a newsagents, before disguising himself as a cyclist and riding off.
The BBC have now dropped some new photos of the remaining episodes, amid fan theories that there is set to be a looming confrontation between him and Sergeant Cawood - played by Sarah Lancashire - in the coming episodes.
The new pictures show Tommy downing some alcohol as he appears to be plotting his next move, whilst in other snaps, he's seen looking over the countryside as he stands on top of a vantage point.
Elsewhere, another picture shows Sergeant Catherine Cawood looking concerned as her sister Clare Cartwright stands behind her.
It comes after actor James Norton revealed he injured himself filming the dramatic courtroom escape scenes.
Talking on Radio 4, he said: "It was high climbing over the edge of the box! With the stunts you're always pumped full of adrenaline and you think you can do anything and then you do it and you think ouch!
"After I looked down and my leg was just bleeding. But the stunt looked great and it felt great. There's an energy about Tommy. He is an animal, a vital, unstoppable force so when he lets it rip it's so fun."
He also spoke of the importance of the series for fans, adding: "We are so aware that this is quite a special series so to come back is a complete pleasure, there is pressure to make it good but we just feed off that expectation it fuels us in a positive way."
The bosses behind Happy Valley are keeping the ending to the series so close to their chests that they've filmed multiple endings to the programme, according to Amit Shah, who plays troubled pharmacist Faisal Bhatti on the BBC hit.
Speaking on the Obsessed With…Happy Valley podcast, Amit admitted to being kept in the dark about what will happen to his character, as he said: "I still don’t know how it all ends up for him. We filmed the final scenes in various different ways."
