ORGANISERS have unveiled the 2026 finisher T-shirt design for the AJ Bell Great Scottish Run.
As the countdown to the event in Glasgow continues, anticipation builds with a showcase of unique Glasgow landmarks and heritage woven into the design.
It complements the medal designs unveiled earlier this summer and is inspired by the city itself.
The criss-cross patterns reflect the steel geometry of the Squinty Bridge, flowing lines echo the waves of the River Clyde, and arch motifs celebrate the iconic McLennan Arch at Glasgow Green.
Rose patterns, synonymous with Charles Rennie Mackintosh, appear throughout the design, paying homage to Glasgow's rich arts and culture heritage.
This year's AJ Bell Great Scottish Run is set to take place in Glasgow on October 3 and 4, with around 35,000 people expected to participate, the largest turnout to date.
Runners have less than a month to secure their place and earn a finisher's T-shirt, with entries still open for the event.
Four-time Olympian Eilish McColgan and Tartan Trek fundraiser Craig Ferguson will be the official starters for the 10k and half marathon events.
The event will begin on Saturday with the Junior and Mini races at a new location on Glasgow Green, where stars from the UK TV show Gladiators will kick off the races for about 2000 children.
The 10k and half marathon events will take over the city centre on Sunday.
The race route will start and finish in the heart of Glasgow, taking participants past iconic architecture, through green spaces, and along streets steeped in history.
Entries for the AJ Bell Great Scottish Run 2026 are still open at greatrun.org/Scottish
