Sarah Lancashire was back in character as she was spotted filming the final series of Happy Valley after six years off screen.

The Coronation Street legend looked ready for action back in front of the cameras in Halifax, West Yorkshire, as no-nonsense police sergeant Catherine Cawood for the third installment of the BAFTA-winning BBC drama.

Oldham actress Sarah, who played Raquel Wolstenhulme in Corrie from 1991 to 1996, received a BAFTA for Leading Actress in her role as anguished Catherine as she fights crime in the Yorkshire borough of Calderdale.
