First Lady Jill Biden joined President Joe Biden in greeting President-elect Donald Trump Wednesday morning as the former and future president returned to the White House. According to an official statement, Jill Biden extended an invitation to former First Lady Melania Trump for the traditional meeting of incoming and outgoing first ladies. However, Melania Trump declined the invitation, citing a previously scheduled commitment related to her book.
