The Washington Commanders and Jacksonville Jaguars released their first injury report of Week 1 on Wednesday, and only one player completely missed practice for either team.
Washington safety Kamren Curl, who recently underwent surgery on his thumb, did not participate in Wednesday’s practice. Curl told the media on Monday he could play with the cast and hoped to be able to play in Week 1.
Tight end Logan Thomas was limited. Thomas is nearing a return to action after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL late last season. Fellow tight end rookie Cole Turner was also limited with a hamstring injury that has plagued him since early last month.
Wide receiver Cam Sims was also limited as he recovers from a concussion he suffered in the second preseason game.
Tight end John Bates [calf], defensive tackle Phidarian Mathis [ankle] and guard Trai Turner [quad] were all full participants. Bates and Turner missed most of training camp with their respective injuries.
As for the Jaguars, only defensive tackle Folorunso Fatukasi was limited Wednesday, meaning Jacksonville is almost fully healthy ahead of Week 1.
