The first asylum seekers have been transferred to the government’s controversial Bibby Stockholm accommodation barge.
Coaches were seen arriving at Portland Port on Monday morning, as local residents gathered at the entrance with “welcome” signs, and The Independent understands that more groups will be transported through the day.
