Thousands of people will descend on Glastonbury today, as the festival opens its gates for the five day festival.
Co-organiser Emily Eavis opened the gates with people at the front of the queue setting off from their homes as early as 1.30am to secure their spot. Glastonbury co-founder Michael Eavis, who was recently pictured in a wheelchair, sat in a red Land Rover nearby and watched as his daughter took over the reins.
Speaking at the gates to BBC, Emily Eavis said: "He's over there - he's still very much here. He's going to be waving everybody in.
