First 100 customers at these Greater Manchester restaurants can get FREE food tomorrow

The early bird catches the worm - or, in this case, the noodles! Tomorrow, the first 100 people in the queue of Manchester’s Chopstix restaurants will be able to bag a free meal in celebration of National Noodle Day (October 6).

The noodle bar is giving away 5,000 boxes of noodles across the UK, which includes 300 across Greater Manchester - 100 per store.

Those who want to be in with the chance of grabbing themselves a free box of noodles can join the queue at any of the three participating Manchester branches.

The branches getting in on the noodle action are Chopstix on the Piccadilly Approach, M1 2GH, inside the Arndale Centre’s food court, and at The Orient at the Trafford Centre’s lower mall.

To get the free noodles, customers will have to download a free voucher, which you can find here . Then just queue up tomorrow ahead of them opening at 10.30am to claim your free lunch.

While the noodles are free, customers can add their favourite topping for £3.69, or enjoy them plain with no extra cost.

The noodle bar has also partnered with Your Local Pantry, which operates 80 community food hubs around the country, to donate 5,000 food vouchers which will be evenly shared across 80 of their neighbourhood food hubs in the UK.

James Henderson from Your Local Pantry, said: “The Your Local Pantry network is growing rapidly, as more and more communities see the value and success of the approach. Maximising member choice is always important to us, so we’re very pleased and grateful to be able to partner with Chopstix in this way.”

The initiative is part of Chopstix’s continued campaign of ‘Noodle Aid’ which aims to deliver noodles to a number of cities and places across the UK for free.

Noodle Aid launched officially in Manchester in 2020, when 400 food parcels were delivered to the Manchester Metropolitan University halls of residence to feed self-isolating students stuck in their flats.

Rob Burns, marketing director for Chopstix, said: “The last few years have been a challenging time for people across the UK and now the cost of living crisis is putting more and more people under continued pressure.

“We wanted to do something to mark National Noodle Day that would look to make even a little difference and give people something to smile about. We’re both excited and proud to be able to donate 10,000 noodle boxes to people across the UK during these uncertain times…and everyone loves noodles right?”

The noodle bar’s popular dishes are also available to order from Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat.
