Nottinghamshire firm gutted by huge fire that ripped through forklift truck and other machinery

Photos show the scale of a fire that ripped through an industrial business in Mansfield and destroyed a forklift truck, wood and other machinery. Crews from the Ashfield, Blidworth and Edwinstowe fire stations were called out to the scene.

The incident happened on Monday, April 11. But the exact business affected remains unclear. Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service have released photos showing the aftermath of what happened.

Wooden planks can be seen charred while a forklift truck has been wrecked. The fire was eventually put out using two hose reel jets. In a statement, firefighters from Ashfield Fire Station said all the equipment had been checked and cleaned.

"On arrival machinery and wood was well alight, the fire was extinguished by firefighters using two hose reel jets. All equipment has been checked and cleaned and we are now ready for our next incident," they said.
