Fireworks and bonfire night 2022 events in and around Nottingham and Nottinghamshire

The nights are drawing in and the temperatures are dropping which must mean bonfire night is fast approaching. It's been a while since we've had any major displays in Nottingham due to the pandemic but 2022 is shaping up to be a blast.

This year November 5 falls on a Saturday but events announced so far are spanning not just the weekend but starting as early as October 28. Our comprehensive listings will help you decide whether a small, community event is your thing, or one of the larger professionally organised events.

However, the annual display at the Forest Recreation Ground has been cancelled by Nottingham City Council as budget pressures continue to bite. The free event usually attracts a 40,000 strong crowd. The local authority said it had reluctantly taken the decision and that budget difficulties have been exacerbated by rising inflation, energy costs and other pressures.
