A memorial bench has been vandalised and fires lit at a Nottinghamshire golf course. Police said there had been a spate of of anti-social behaviour at Retford Golf Course in Ordsall and its surrounding areas.
East Bassetlaw Police said fires have been started on the greens and a memorial bench placed on the course has been severely damaged, leading to its removal. The force said a gate that allows disabled users to access the course has also been destroyed.
"These crimes have a huge effect on the local community and the victims involved", it said in a Facebook post. "If you have any information on these incidents please call PC MARSH 4437 on 101. The team would like to offer their support and compassion to the owner of the memorial bench."
