Firefighters descended on a road in Sunderland after a bus burst into flames.
The fire brigade attended the Silksworth area of the city on Monday morning after reports of a bus being on fire. It is understood the bus was operated by Go North East and emergency crews arrived on the scene within five minutes before the blaze was extinguished.
A nearby community centre was evacuated and damage was caused to a nearby bus shelter. Fortunately, all passengers on the single decker bus managed to get off safely. No injuries were reported and it is not yet known how the bus caught fire.

A Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Earlier today around 10:35am (Monday 30) our fire control received a call about a bus on fire on Tunstall Village Road in Sunderland. Crews from Farringdon Community Fire Station were on the scene in just five minutes to extinguish the single decker bus on fire."
They added: "All people on the bus self-rescued before our arrival and a nearby community centre was evacuated as a precaution. The bus stop has also been damaged by the fire but the fire has since been extinguished. Our crews left the scene at 10:55am."
Hours after the fire, scorch marks could still be seen around the area of the bus stop where the fire happened. The bus shelter was also damaged, with glass and other bits of debris strewn nearby.
