TV presenter Laura Hamilton has shared a picture of firefighters tackling a blaze at her new home she was in the middle of renovating.
The 40-year-old, who stars in Channel 4 property show A Place in the Sun, was forced to call the fire brigade after the home she moved in to after splitting with husband Alex Goward caught fire.
The mother-of-two moved had been busy redeveloping her Surrey property and was restoring its exterior.
She shared a video of a firefighter dowsing down a charred pile of blackened rubble and wood outside the home on Wednesday.
In her Instagram Stories caption, she wrote: “Errr... just a little mishap at the rebuild this morning with the fire brigade coming to the rescue...”
There was no immediate explanation for how the fire began.
It came after she moved out of her family home after splitting up with her husband Alex Goward after 13 years together.
After the split in January, the star shared a glimpse of her new house which was covered in scaffolding.
She wrote: “The scaffolding is up and the renovation begins…
“It’s no secret I love renovating properties. I love turning something run down into something special…”
Announcing her split, she wrote on Instagram: “This isn’t something I ever thought I’d be saying but, after 13 years of being together Alex and I have separated.
“Our children are and always will be our number one priority and we would respect privacy for our family at this time.”
