Crews were called to the car park at Kenn Road at just before 3.20pm on Monday, (April 3) to find plumes of white smoke coming from under the bonnet.
Firefighters disconnected the car batteries and doused the blaze. Luckily, no one was in the car at the time, reports Somerset Live.

A spokesman for Clevedon Firefighters said: “One truck was called to attend the car park of Tesco where a parked car had smoke issuing from beneath the bonnet. Crews disconnected the cars batteries and used a CO2 fire extinguisher and a hose reel jet to extinguish a small fire seated deep into the engine compartment.
“Lucky for the occupants that this happened whilst parked as the fire had started to melt the plastic trims within the passenger footwell.”
It comes days after firefighters in Bristol rushed to extinguish a blaze in a police van. Officers believe the fire was started deliberately and an investigation has been launched.
