Firefighters battled storm conditions to tackle a blaze in a warehouse roof in Ardwick. Crews were called to Cakebread Street at 4.15pm on Wednesday.
Using an aerial ladder platform in blustery high winds caused by Storm Claudio they spent around 90 minutes extinguishing the flames.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: "Just before 4.15pm this afternoon (Wednesday) we received a report of a commercial building fire on Cakebread Street, Manchester, involving the roof space of a warehouse. Three crews from Manchester Central and Gorton fire stations, alongside an aerial ladder platform, arrived quickly at the scene.
"They used cutting equipment to access the area, working hard in windy conditions to extinguish the fire with the aid of a hose reel. Firefighters were at the scene for around an hour and a half."
