Edinburgh fire crews are battling a blaze on the sixth floor of a tenement block after the alarm was raised early on Tuesday morning.
Six appliances from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are tackling the inferno that has ripped through a flat on Portobello High Street, with buses in the area also being re-routed.
After getting the call shortly before 6am on September 20, the SFRS mobilised six crews to the scene as reports also suggest that residents have been evacuated from the block while the blaze is ongoing.

On the Lothian Buses website, it states that five services, the 26, 12, 49, 45 and 21 have all been diverted.
The service alert says: "Due to a road closure buses are unable to serve Portobello High Street and are instead diverted via Sir Harry Lauder Road and Milton Road East in both directions until further notice."
Ambulance crews have also been spotted outside the building although it is unconfirmed if there are any casualties at this time.
Last night, Monday, a heavy fire response was also spotted in the Newington area of the city centre as a blaze tore through a flat shortly after 9pm.
