Emergency services have warned people to "protect" their property and be aware as flooding is expected.
An official flood alert is in place for the Irish Sea, covering the stretch of coastline from New Brighton to Hoylake. This means that flooding is possible in the area with high tides.
Advice has been issued, with Gov.UK stating that people should "avoid using low lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding." A spokesperson for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said: "Risks posed by high tides today in areas of the Wirral from New Brighton to Hoylake, parts of Leasowe and Wallasey which are all at risk.

"Highest risk is expected in New Brighton at Marine Point, King's Parade and Marine Promenade- take action to protect your property."
