Merseyside fire that killed mother and three children caused by battery used in e-bikes

A “devoted and loving” mother and her three children were killed by a fire caused by a lithium-ion battery, an investigation has revealed.

The blaze engulfed the Brabin family home in Bootle, Merseyside, in the early hours of 22 September.
