A caravan was destroyed in a fire on a Liverpool street on Thursday afternoon (April 14).
Crews from Merseyside Fire & Rescue service were alerted to a fire on Silvester Street in Vauxhall at 1.28pm and arrived on the scene at 1.37pm. The caravan was well alight when firefighters arrived and plumes of smoke were reportedly visible from Sandhills railway station and nearby office buildings.
A firefighter extinguished the blaze but it had already destroyed the caravan. Pictures from the scene show the burned remains of the caravan, but there was no damage to nearby buildings.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Fire & Rescue service told the ECHO : "Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service attended an incident on Silvester Street, Liverpool earlier this afternoon.
"Crews were alerted at 13.28 and on scene at 13.37. Two fire engines attended.
"On arrival, crews found one caravan well alight. One firefighter using breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
"Shortly after, crews began damping down the scene. MFRS crews left the incident at 14.40."
