Fire crews were sent on an actual wild goose chase in Salford Quays earlier this evening following reports of an injured goose in need of assistance.
A large emergency service presence was called to Salford Quays just before 5.15pm on Wednesday evening (February 2), with a number of fire engines and tactical response units seen in attendance.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said they were called to the scene, near to the Beefeater restaurant, by the RSPCA to attempt to rescue an injured goose.
