A car was deliberately set on fire in the early hours of yesterday morning on a Lanarkshire street.
Fire crews rushed to the scene on Academy Street in Larkhall after the black Mini Cooper was set ablaze.
The fire was extinguished by Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no-one was injured during the incident.
It happened at around 1am yesterday morning (Wednesday), July 21.
Police have launched a probe into deliberate fire-raising and are now appealing to the public for information.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or can provide assistance with enquiries is asked to come forward.
Detective Constable Christine McLanachan, of Cambuslang CID, said: “Thankfully nobody was injured as a result of this incident.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or has private CCTV or dash-cam footage to get in touch.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101, quoting incident numbers 0213 of 20 July.”
