Fire crews were scrambled to a blaze which broke out at a Scots prison.
Emergency services raced to HMP Edinburgh, also known as Saughton Prison, at around 5.18pm on Monday, June 27.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) dispatched five fire appliances to the location in the city's Stenhouse Road.
Firefighters worked to contain and extinguish the fire before making sure the area was made safe and leaving the scene.
One casualty suffering from smoke inhalation was transferred into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS).
Two ambulances and two special operations response teams (SORT) attended but nobody was taken to hospital.
There were no injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the blaze are not known at this time.
An SFRS spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 5.18pm on Monday, June 27 to reports of a fire at HMP Edinburgh.
"Operations Control mobilised five fire appliances to the city's Stenhouse Road, where firefighters extinguished the fire and made the area safe before leaving the scene.
"One casualty suffering from smoke inhalation was passed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service."
An SAS spokesperson added: “We received a call at 17:27 on 27 June to attend an incident at Saughton Prison, Stenhouse Road, Edinburgh.
"Two ambulances and two of our special operations response teams (SORT) were dispatched to the scene.
"No patients were taken to hospital.”
A Scottish Prison Service spokesperson said: “We are aware of an incident that occurred at HMP Edinburgh yesterday afternoon.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed that the force had been made aware of the blaze.
