The incident took place at Moto Services at around 9pm on Tuesday, February 8.
The lorry involved is a vehicle used to shred paper - pictures show firefighters at the scene working to extinguish the blaze.
The service said in a statement on February 8: "We're currently in attendance at Moto Services Castle Donington.
"One lorry that is used to shred waste paper is involved in fire.
"Crews from Donington Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service, Ashby Station and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service Loughborough Station worked quickly to prevent any escalation of the incident.
"Water or foam is best for paper [is the best extinguisher for a paper fire] which is a Class A solid fuel fire.
"Remember only use an extinguisher on a small fire such as a waste paper bin if you're confident and competent."
