Firefighters have been called to attend a group of tower blocks over 70 times in the past two years - for what has turned out to be false alarms.
The shock figures were discovered by a concerned Cambuslang resident, who has witnessed the continual 'huge responses' by local fire crews to the blocks in recent years.
The call outs concerned three blocks - Sherry Heights, Rosebank Tower and Standford Heights - on Cambuslang Main Street. In 2020 the blocks combined for 27 false alarms, followed by 31 in 2021 and a further 13 call outs between January and June this year.

The incidents prove time consuming for the fire department and keep them away from legitimate fires, with the cost of each call out funded by the fire service - and therefore the taxpayer. Sherry Heights was the most commonly attended of the three blocks.
The local who enquired about the call outs, who wishes to remain anonymous, told Lanarkshire Live: "I've noticed for a while the fire brigade were called out regularly, and because of the buildings involved it is always a huge response.
"It must cost a huge amount of time and resources for such an understandably big response each time."
Local fire chiefs say that they will continue to provide advice regarding how to maintain and use the fire alarms, in an attempt to cut down on the number of false alarms.
Scottish Fire & Rescue Service Area Commander Andrew Kenna said: "Smoke alarms are essential for every home. They should be combined with heat alarms that are ideal for kitchens. You should have a carbon monoxide alarms if you have heating or cooking appliances fuelled by gas, coal, wood or oil.
"Ensuring that householders manage their fire alarm systems effectively can help us reduce the number of false alarms, which place an unnecessary drain on our resources. Our crews will also engage with every householder to provide advice, reassurance and offer a free home fire safety visit to keep our communities safe."
