Fire crews were scrambled to a two-vehicle crash in Ayr town centre yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were summoned to Alloway Street around 2.25pm.
Pictures taken at the scene show extensive damage to a blue car with the bonnet rattled and parts of the exterior hanging off.
It is understood that the other car involved in the incident was towed away.
Fire crews were spotted attending to the occupiers of the blue car at the busy junction with Dalblair Road.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service told Ayrshire Live they sent two appliances to deal with the aftermath of the crash.
Two casualties were handed over to paramedics, however, police have confirmed there were no serious injuries from the crash.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.25pm, police were called to the Alloway Street area of Ayr following a report of a two-vehicle crash.
"There were no serious injuries reported and the road was cleared by 2.50pm.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 2.29pm on Tuesday, February 8, to reports of a collision involving two cars on Alloway Street, Ayr.
“Operations Control immediately mobilised two appliances to the location. Two casualties were handed over to the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
