A man was rescued from scaffolding on the roof of a house by fire crews.
Emergency services descended on Chatsworth Avenue in Liscard this morning after being called to reports of the incident at around 10am. Two fire engines, the search and rescue appliance, an aerial appliance and several ambulances were sent to the scene on Liscard Road.
Firefighters worked alongside ambulance crews to rescue the man, who is believed to have had a medical episode on the roof. He was rescued from the scaffolding and put into the cage of the aerial appliance before being brought down to ground level.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said the man was taken to hospital for "further precautionary checks." The road was closed while emergency services worked at the scene but has now reopened.
A spokesperson from the fire service said: "Crews were alerted at 10.01am and on scene at 10.05am. Two fire engines attended as well as the search and rescue appliance and an aerial appliance.
"Firefighters worked alongside NWAS to assist the casualty – who was on scaffolding at roof level of a property - into the cage of the aerial appliance before transporting them to ground level.
"Once safely on the ground, the casualty was handed into the care of NWAS and taken to hospital for further precautionary checks. Fire crews left the scene at 11.19am."
