A fire broke out in the basement underneath a charity shop in Prudhoe, Northumberland around 8.30pm on Thursday night.
Tynedale Hospice confirmed fire crews attended the blaze which broke out in the property underneath their store on Front Street. The Ground floor basement flat is not part of their premises.

Three engines attended the scene and managed to get the blaze under control. One hose reel was used to extinguish the flames and fire officers remained at the scene to check for fire spread.
They also said that damage to the shop appears to be minimal but the shop will remain closed on Friday for a full assessment. Fortunately, no one has been injured in the incident.
Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service said: This was a fire in a Ground floor basement flat, no persons were injured, and the fire was extinguished by crews using 1 Hose reel.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: Shortly after 8.30pm last night we were contacted by the Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service, who were in attendance at a fire on Front Street Prudhoe.
Officers attended the scene to help support firefighters, who later extinguished the blaze.
County Cllr Gordon Stewart who represents Prudhoe South on NCC and the deputy Chairman of the Northumberland Fire & Rescue service said: "A far more serious incident was averted by an early call into the service, and the quick attendance of local crews".
