Vandals have caused thousands of pounds worth of damage after setting fire to a storage container at the rear of a popular Lanarkshire furniture store.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the blaze on Station Road, Larkhall, where they discovered the large storage unit - belonging to R&J Leather - up in flames.
The incident happened sometime after 6.30pm on Wednesday, April 13.
It is understood dozens of leather and fabric sofas - costing the company thousands of pounds in lost sales - have been destroyed as a result of the fire.
Now, bosses at R&J Leather are offering a reward for any information leading to the culprits being caught.
In a social media post alerting the public to the fire, a staff member said: "I work for R&J Leather and there has been a number of fires set over the past few weeks.
"But last night they set fire to the shop and caused thousands of pounds worth of damage.
"There is five of them dressed in black wearing back packs. We are appealing for help to find these people, there will be a reward. If anyone has CCTV of the area and seen anything of this can you contact R&J Leather Hamilton on 01698 882444 thanks."
Staff were also keen to assure customers that no client orders had been affected by the blaze and said: "Please be assured that this is not customer orders it was stock that was affected - all customer orders are safe.
"Our stores in Hamilton and Uddingston have not been affected by this incident."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman confirmed the incident with Lanarkshire Live,.
She added: "Operations Control mobilised one fire appliance and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting a large storage container.
“There were no reported casualties and crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
