Their win, meanwhile, leaves Robbie Neilson 's team needing something from the second game in Florence next week to keep their own campaign alive after just one win from the first half of group games.
Fiorentina were criticised after the game in Gorgie after images shared on social media showed the away dressing room left in a mess. But the Serie A side have hit back, claiming they were in a rush to leave as the players had no hot water for a post-match shower.
