Fingerprint on scope matches man accused of trying to assassinate Trump, FBI says

A fingerprint found on the scope of a rifle near where Donald Trump was playing golf last year matches that of a man accused of attempting his assassination, an FBI analyst testified in a Florida courtroom on Monday.

This marked the third day of testimony in the trial of Ryan Routh. Prosecutors allege Mr Routh spent weeks plotting to kill Mr Trump before aiming a rifle through shrubbery as he played golf on 15 September 2024 at his West Palm Beach country club.
