Fine Gael TD Joe McHugh has this morning announced he will not run in the next General Election..

The Donegal politician was Minister for Education and Skills from 16 October 2018 until 27 June 2020.

He previously served as Government Chief Whip and Minister of State at the Department of Culture with responsibility for Gaeilge, Gaeltacht and the Islands.
