The Kansas City Chiefs secured their fourteenth regular season win on Saturday, defeating the Houston Texans 27-19 at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 16.
Though the Texans fought hard against the defending Super Bowl champions, but couldn’t overcome Kansas City’s balanced offensive attack led by Patrick Mahomes, Xavier Worthy, and Kareem Hunt.
Mahomes rushed for a touchdown and threw for 260 yards while completing 28 of his 41 attempts. His only touchdown pass in the matchup was thrown to Worthy, who caught seven balls for 65 yards.
Hunt ran for 55 yards on 11 attempts and scored one rushing touchdown.
The Chiefs’ defensive backfield kept Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud in check all game. Rookie Jaden Hicks and veteran Trent McDuffie recorded interceptions against Houston, and rising cornerback Joshua Williams tallied one sack.
